Happiness thru Hope in the midst of Hostility

Updated: May 23

Word to the Ecclesia:

I heard Holy Spirit speak these 3 words…

  • Happiness

  • Hope

  • Hostility

Happiness: defined as “a state of well-being, contentment, joy.”

Though you live in a dark world where things often don’t appear bright, I will always give you – My sons and daughters – a sense of happiness as you enjoy and delight in Me. There is always a happiness in being in My presence, trusting in My goodness, and enjoying My blessings. There is happiness in walking with Me down the path that I lay before you and engaging in your destiny – your purpose. Even when the road is hard, you can always find happiness in Me!

Hope: Strong’s Concordance defines hope as – “expectation of good; joyful and confident expectation.”

Hope is part of the sustainability of happiness. When you choose to walk in hope… hope in My promises, hope in My goodness, hope in My faithfulness, hope in My power to do the impossible, hope in My love, hope in My purposes… when you choose that kind of hope, happiness settles into your spirit. It settles into your bones. This hope that brings you into a state of happiness is the product of your complete surrender to Me. Freedom comes in laying down self-dependence and taking up God-dependence. With freedom to hope comes happiness!

Romans 15:13 (The Voice) I pray that God, the source of all hope, will infuse your lives with an abundance of joy and peace in the midst of your faith; so that your hope will overflow through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hostility: I heard Holy Spirit say…

What is hostility; is it not enmity?

Then, He spoke these verses to me:

James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses[1]! Do you not know that friendship[2] with the world[3] is enmity[4] with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy[5] of God.

Hebrews 12:3 For consider [Jesus] who endured such hostility[6] from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

Happiness through Hope in the midst of the Hostility:

He spoke this verse to me…

Matthew 5:11-12 Blessed[7] are you when [men] revile[8] and persecute[9] you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice[10] and be exceedingly glad[11], for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

After discovering that Strong’s Concordance defines blessed as “happy”, I did a word search of the word happy in the Bible. I discovered that many of the times where KJV uses the word “blessed”, other translations use the word “happy”. The promise of happiness runs throughout the Bible!

  • Happy are the people whose God is the Lord! Psalm 144:15

  • Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose HOPE is in the Lord his God…. Psalm 146:5

  • Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord — [The Lord is] the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, and you shall tread down their high places. Deuteronomy 33:29

My holy remnant can rest in the hope of My goodness and My protection and My blessings in the days to come. Even when the mountains shake and the seas roar and the earth gives way[12], I am your constant hope and I am faithful to the end.

In these times, hostility will be directed at you like never before. You will learn what taking up your cross and following me really looks like. You will discover at a higher, deeper level what it means to be crucified with Me[13]…to the point that you truly no longer live, but I live in you. The life you live in the body will be lived by unshakeable faith in Me – the One who loved you and gave Himself for you. The hostility that was directed at Me while I walked on the earth will continue to be directed at Me…in you. I in you and you in Me[14]; we are one!

Prepare yourselves for the coming hostility with holy admonitions to one another[15]. Your preparations into holiness will hold you and keep you under My wings of love and protection, even as the oceans rage and the mountains shake. Do not fear, for I am still in control. Let no hostility that is spewed across the earth, or spewed directly at you, steal your confident hope in My goodness and My faithfulness.

You are a blessed (happy) generation, because you have chosen Me over the world. I will not only hold you and keep you from harm, but I will also allow you, My Holy Army of Light, to be My mighty vessels to turn on My powerful spot-LIGHT over the darkness that covers the earth. This spot-LIGHT, which has been entrusted to you through your pressing into holiness, will annihilate the dark forces that hover over and defile the earth. Remain in Me and I will remain in you. And we will celebrate the Victories... over and over and over again!
