The Purified Tongue: A Strategic Weapon
Sitting at the feet of The Lord, I asked Him:
Lord, will you give Your Ecclesia strategies to protect from deception and manipulation, in order to crush the head of the enemy and his demonic work within The Church?
He responded:
I Am that I Am[1]. I Am the Mighty One who says … Let no thing and no one exalt itself above Me, or surely I will bring it down low and destroy it. It is time to destroy all that has set itself up to be exalted above Me[2]. It is time to destroy all that has worked to come against My purposes, by attacking My people.
See to it that you do not allow negative talk, which is the equivalent of agreement and alignment with the enemy’s lies and schemes, to come out of your mouths. See to it that you do not speak negatively in agreement with satan, by speaking out anything that does not completely align with My voice, My Word, My heart.
There is power in the tongue[5]: the power to bless or to curse, to deliver life or to deliver death, to welcome angels or to invite demons, to usher in heaven’s remedies or to support the enemy’s evil plans.
Who bewitched you?! You indulge in allowing your tongue to carelessly speak the enemy’s plans, by speaking negative agreements with the way things appear in the natural. Have you no faith to believe for My promises that are yet unseen[6]. What is faith, but believing before you see[7]?
Stop speaking in agreement with what the enemy wants you to believe about a difficult situation. Every time that you “declare” a negative thing, i.e., the state of our world is hopeless; there is no cure for my illness; the next generation is doomed – every time you declare agreement with the negative things you see and are experiencing, you invite demons to bring forth what you have stated.
These negative agreements are the access points: this is where the enemy’s hook is planting itself in My people, which allows his demonic work to infiltrate. Through these agreements, access is created for the enemy to contaminate true, intimate, faith-filled worship of Me. You must recognize that in these negative agreements, I am not being exalted, nor am I being honored or glorified; but quite the contrary. This creates an obstruction, an interference; a wall that is erected, which serves as a barrier when My Beloved come before Me in worship.
I will not share My glory with another[8]! My Bride needs to grasp the gravity of Her careless words; the careless use of the tongue, which is the breeding ground for these attacks of the enemy to rise up.
It all comes down to holiness, which encompasses a surrendered tongue. Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks[9]. Holiness is worked out in the heart, producing a pure heart that is so full of love, faith, and surrender that the tongue overflows with only the words of My heart. And My heart carries My Promises, many of which require the agreement of My Holy Ones through declarations[10] with their mouths. To declare the opposite is to fuel the flame of the enemy’s infiltration.
Church, do not allow yourselves to be bewitched by the sly twistings and manipulations of the enemy; thus, surrendering control of the powerful instrument of your tongue to do his bidding. Instead, purify your tongue, so that it speaks out only My praises and My truth. Then, your holy tongue will be used to steer your entire body and the atmosphere around you… straight down the path that I have laid out for you.

Practical Application:
The Lord reminded me of a time when I was sharing with a friend about an extremely heavy burden that I was carrying, in which my greatest desire was to be used by God to usher His kingdom into the situation. The more I talked about the problem, the more overwhelmed I became about the complexity of it all. Finally I said, "I feel like I am in over my head." The second those words came out of my mouth, I felt a check in my spirit...which was the conviction of Holy Spirit. Rather than acknowledge what Holy Spirit was pointing out to me, I just ignored it and finished the conversation.
The next morning, I woke up in a funk, which is extremely out of character for me. I had a deep sense of hopelessness, and I knew that the negative thoughts that were going through my mind were not my own...but I could not shake them. When I pressed God, He quickly reminded me of the words I had spoken the day before..."I am in over my head." And that was exactly what I was experiencing; I felt like I was drowning. The negative word I had spoken had become my reality.
I immediately confessed this agreement and alignment with the enemy, and turned the other way to look into the face of Jesus. Once my eyes were fixed on Him, I was able to stand and declare the faithfulness and the goodness of my God over the most "complex" and difficult of circumstances. As I chose to agree and align with God's heart and His Word over the situation, strength and resolve rose within me again. From there, I regained my position to be used by Him to usher heaven into these circumstances.
The prior day, another friend had sent me a message that she was continually hearing the word "vortex" in her spirit. She said, "I believe God is saying to stay outside the vortex; and to look from above, not from within any world circumstance."
This came back up to me after having my eyes opened to the impact of my negative words over my thoughts and emotions. The Lord showed me that I had allowed myself to be pulled down into the enemy's trap of the dark vortex, resulting in being taken out of position and rendered useless in my Kingdom assignment.
Lord, thank You for Your mercy and grace in protecting us from our mistakes. Thank You for convicting us and turning us back to You; so that we can honor and please You in releasing Your Kingdom into every situation that You put before us. You are a Good, Good Father!
